Olio Basso has always been one big family, centered on non-negotiable values of loyalty and transparency. Proud of its roots in Irpinia, Italy, the company has built its identity on the absolute certainty that upholding high quality standards, contributing to the territory’s development, and implementing strong work ethics are key to success.
THE TRADITION
We process part of our Italian olives here in Irpinia, and choose the best oils from Italy, Greece and Spain to create our European blends; we then distribute our extra virgin oil in 90 countries around the world. To produce our Italian oil, we select the best trusted suppliers, harvest olives at the right level of ripeness, and then process them in our oil mill in San Michele di Serino after careful qualitative analysis. Only the best olives become Olio Basso “100% Italiano” Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
A SUSTAINABLE OLIVE OIL
The earth is good to us, and generous. We have always felt the need to reciprocate. Our commitment to sustainability began in 2003, when we turned to photovoltaics for energy. Since then, we have created a lighting system that cuts consumption by 35%, started exclusively using recyclable packaging materials, and implemented responsible and eco-sustainable waste management.
