The Olio Basso vegetable oils range includes peanut, sunflower and corn oils. Peanut oil comes closest to extra virgin olive oil in terms of chemical composition, and is ideal for frying – thanks to its high resistance to high temperatures – as well as for homemade mayonnaise and desserts, as a substitute for butter. Sunflower seed oil, rich in linoleic acid and vitamin E, is widely used to dress salads or vegetable dishes, to prepare sauces and condiments, and to preserve vegetables. Finally, corn seed oil is rich in omega-6 fatty acids and vitamin E, and therefore is suitable for seasoning raw or cooked dishes without altering their flavors and aromas.
